Firewall Issues

Typically proper remote access can be checked and verified via the VERIFY ACCESS link also found in the menu on the left. This will automatically test for HTTP (or port 80) access, the presense of a recent Java Runtime Enrironment (or JRE) and PISQL database connectivity access (port 1113).

If you continue to have problems accessing this DEMO server newt.quantumsi.com (65.203.136.100) after running the VERIFY ACCESS link test, the below PDF files cover in depth manual testing procedures to verify that your firewall is not restricting direct access to port 1113 (DATABASE) and/or port 80 (HTTP) which are both required by the CROME Applet and the CROME Application. The most common issue is a firewall rule blocking port 1113.

In the event you need to Configure either a HTTP proxy or a SOCKS proxy, although fully supported setup and verification can be complex, you will need to schedule direct assistance from Quantum [ contact info ].
